Brzezinski former national security adviser gave a good talk on Iran and about US Iran relations . His weakness came through as when somebody suggested that should US talk with Turkey and India to help navigate through relations with Iran.His lack of knowledge about India seemed to show his short sightedness.To ignore a population base of 1.2 billion because no body was paying you to look at it is shear short sightedness on part of world thinker and organizations like Rand.
Yes India is very small in terms of economical power but Pakistan,Iraq,Afghanistan all of middle east are small in terms of all the measures we may use.India should be studied by security establishment if nothing else for the reason it is the largest pluralistic democracy,its people speak English.Has a large educated liberal class of citizenry.India has embraced multiculturalism and in practice has protected and represent all minorities even better than US.
India and its role and alliance with US should be looked at fresh with the current realities of
the world.I hope even at this advanced age you will be able to talk a little better about India and its role in its neighborhood.
