Yesterday the heritage festival was postponed to today for rain .It is cloudy .I hope it turns out to be a nice day. Any way we will try to have fun.
Debbie ,Nitin,Srinivas and Subhash were present in morning at the center to pick up stuff for displays.I picked up a ladder for the festival grounds. It is very pleasing to see more involvement from the community in our activities.
Bindu has helped earlier for the preparations for the festival.Still all depends on the weather god (Indra)
This festival is in its 32 year and it was started in 1976 to celebrate america's 200th anniversary of independence.
This year many people from the indian community participated in the festival even though it was postponed for rain.From hindi school Mr and Mrs Saxena participated with their two kids.Ram Gupta and his group came and wrote names in hindi for the public. Subahash Vijay,Twinkle Nattoo, Anayav, Anita, Brij, David, Supriya,Deepu and her friend.
Sabrina did Menhdi for the public .It was one of the most popular activity in the event.By the way lateron i was told that we won the best booth award for this year.
