I remember the Hindi names given to simple things like railway signal.

Loh Path gamini awat jawat soochak.(literal translation is incoming and outgoing indicator for the vehicle traveling on steel tracks or steel way)
Those were fun days and our inventive words were fun as well as quixotic .We loved it for long time and i still get a smile thinking about it.
When i saw In Providence Journal our largest news paper in state .This yoga pose was listed as Yoga pose of the week.There was an accompanying picture of a female yogi in this posture.
I was amazed at the prevalence of yoga practitioners in America and was impressed by the use of Sanskrit name of the Asana.
I just wanted to share this.
