"NAMASTEY" Indian greeting of folding hands and bowing best way to greet??

While the world is talking about H1 N1 flu virus 2009 Strand.Like with any flu public is dying .President Obama became a father figure and told the nation to wash hands,do not sneeze without tissue and stay home if you are sick. All very prudent advice.Every one must have noticed people wearing masks. Health experts are saying they are useful if one is infected and have to venture in public to protect others.It has very little benefit for general public. I think we all will become experts in masks and respirators if this flu spreads any further.From early signs it seems a regular variety of flu(Similar type and scope we get in America every year and loose 30thousand citizens to.)It seems to be much milder culprit than its Asian cousin the bird flu of last few years.I think that was called H1 N5.
While thinking of greetings,it seems the best practice may be the Indian all time greeting of NAMASTEY.You fold your hands (like in prayer) and bow your head and say the words Namastey.It is also unique because in Sanskrit where this greeting comes from it means
"I BOW MY HEAD TO DIVINITY IN YOU".
I have also heard the meaning as divinity in me recognises divinity in you and bow in honor. For for sure this may be best way to greet each other while flu is in season. Recognising divinity all around us will make our chance meetings more civil.
