China is powerful, needs to be responsible .

China has become a powerful player in the world politics and economy. They have done it with eyes wide open. America is responsible for this strength by allowing china to supply large amount of consumer products for American markets.In their state capitalism they have done well in using that money for the benefit of the state.
How big is the state enterprise of China. Assets two trillion dollars.Cash on hand trillion dollars.Thousands of subsidiaries.Standing security forces(military) of 2.3 million.Employees in 100 million range. Owns and controls largest land mass.trying to create dependent states by power of money and failing threat of gun.I am afraid what they will do when one of their debtor defaults will they break the symbolic arms and legs or force them to sell there kidneys to feed the machine.That has been the colonial powers at its worst.Hope that China does not turn into a colonial power of that sort. who will challenge such a scenario.Us finds more and more trying to cajole china to handle confrontational issues on a later date.

Our follies.
Accepting principal of one china policy is basically flawed Principal.No different than one America or one India policy.Historically many countries have become by joining several separate entities. and then have separated from single entities.It may continue to do so in the future. One thing i hope that as political armed nation state concept becomes lesser attractive to the world. Europe after dividing itself for many years is now combining itself as EU(European union). Hope fully that will end the militarization ,borders and land grab.
Soviet union was broken up into several states with their militaries and borders.Yugoslavia has become several nations sometimes very violently.Czech and Slovaks are separate nations after being Czechoslovakia for a longtime.
Philippines was part of USA and is no more.So far in last 30 or so years china has been successful in combining other independent territories into it.and is threatening Taiwan.china has declared parts of Bhutan and India as belonging to it and raising tensions with India for no other reason than to control India.This may back fire as it may force India into alliances to counter such challenges.China should not think as Britain gave Hong Kong to china without much resistance from its citizens no body has such power over other citizens(may be china has) where rulers can just decide the fate of people ,territories , culture from the high command.in the long run People want to be master of their destiny not pawns of some power hungry men.

I hope it does not come to that as Americans are saving Lot of money now they can pay off Chinese debt by saving 10 percent of their income.That will create a havoc to the Chinese economy. America if decides has tools where it will not be blackmailed by any nation how vital they may be to us.We are entering interesting times.
