about health plans in discussion in congress

A Few points:

  1. If I do not want health insurance: what does it mean ,do you decide to die if getting sick or accident or heart attack or you need only catastrophic insurance and will take care of other bills. Not a good question.
  2. We cannot afford it : As society we take care of medical bills in hospitals for all the uninsured people .large number of Americans file for bankruptcy as they can not pay for health care.Taking care of people in doctor's office can reduce cost to the system.
  3. Cost of dying: average American spends 100000 dollars in last year of life these medical expenses neither improve quality of life or quantity of life.By providing regular health care cost of dying can be reduced.
  4. Electronic record keeping will reduce cost to the system and reduce duplication and reduce litigation.better record s,better followup.better cost comparison if two or three levels of service was provided.
  5. Abuses because of monopoly by doctors organizations as well as pharmacy companies.
  6. Majority of American have health insurance and are scared to loose to an unknown system particularly when sick and elderly are bombarded with false advertisement about the care to come.
  7. Most expensive part of the health care is responsibility of the govt through medicare, medicaid or federal and state health plans for employees and retirees.
  8. Working poor are the one's who are not insured. They may be very healthy and need to spend less than$ 500 per year to take care.
  9. System will have surety to get paid as everybody will be covered and providers will be paid.
  10. To keep costs down true competition has be created in medical education and delivery of services.
  11. Let un insured pay 10 percent of their income to get the health care so they become stakeholders.
