Nikki Hailey the first woman of Indian descent wins for governor in south Carolina.Congratulations.
Now we have the bragging rights to two governors of Indian descent as governors in two southern states.Bobby Jindal of Louisiana and now Nikki Haley of South Carolina. Does it tell some thing about south and Indians or Indians in southern conservative and republican states.
I do not have any other information on any other candidates winning important races .
ps.I just became aware that Kamla Harris became first female attorney general of the largest state in United states of America.She replaces Gerry Brown who has won the governors office.
Obama is visiting India and that is after the midterm elections hope he may remove the obstacles and improve trade with India .
W Bush delivered to India acceptance in nuclear club and that will remove the shortage in electric production with in ten years and it is getting better already and the burden and reward of selling the technology to India is now on Mr Obama.
It would have been great if he had promised India by helping to bring other need in reach .Which is sanitation(latrines ). He could speed this by offering water and sewage to whole nation at interest free loan and give a gift which would improve the quality of life more than any other gift would do.
Alas it will be sometime before India tackles this problem on a national scale.
