Couples who have premarital sex to be considered 'married', says HC

A high court in Madras India in an unusual judgement in child support and spousal maintenance case has decided to award these to a woman who had two kids with a man and was not married. Court said that having had Sex and children together was enough of a proof to have given rights to the woman of being married even if the marriage was not formalized by Islamic law as the couple were Muslim. It is the first time Courts are trying to hold Muslim men responsible for their relationships and children.They can not hide under some Sharia edict which may be totally out of sink with modern Indian Law.
