Most people have the religion of parents

Traditionally most people have carried the faith of their parents that means they have religion they were born with.Most of us go through a search and questions about existence of god,purpose of life ,is there an after life.They have traditionally remained in the private domain of the seeker.This has brought many people from different backgrounds to similar conclusions. This discovery have left many of as agnostic and at times have made us even atheist as we all have witnessed the failures and abuse of organised religion.Karl Marx and many thinkers also exposed dogma of religion by asking difficult questions.

Freedom of and easy dissemination of information and more education in science has also thrown light on mystery of universe.We do not give credit to agents of god for rain any more and do not need to buy the tickets to heaven while still alive.

America(USA) is the first country to have separated state from religion.Most children go to public schools and as such are not indoctrinated in any faith by the teachers.They are taught to think independently and make up their minds from the early age.This empowering of children is a great challenge for the nation.We expect them to make decisions while they do not have the full information yet .Many times they do not even know how to collect and process this complex information.As a society it is our duty to educate and inform these children and only then we may expect them to decide on important issues independently without fear or coercion .

Today's report says that Americans change their religion early and often.Is it a sign of growth or rebellion.
