Jazia Tax imposed on Sikhs of Khyber agency.Pakistan is loosing not only writ of the government is also surrendering all power to terrorists.In the Khyber region about 7000 Sikhs live now they are being forced to pay Islamic groups 1000 Rs per year per person tax for being non Muslim.It is against the Pakistani law and it is non government agency charging for the same.These are the communities which have lived in the region from the time of Alexander from Greece.According to lore and oral history my ancestors (Mohyal Brahmins)though Hindu had fought with imam Hussein in Karbala and were highly respected by them .Muslim and Hindus lived together for centuries with least of tension.
These are the last of Hindu's and Sikhs living in Pakistan.These are the minority of minorities in this country .Before partition today's Pakistan was 40 percent Hindu.Today it is less than one percent and it is dis heartening to hear about such a treatment of minorities in the land of Pure(PAKISTAN).Muslims served in armed forces of last Sikh Maharaja Ranjit Singh of what is current day Pakistan.
World can not stay silent on this tragedy.In the face atrocities for good people to do nothing is giving support to the villain.
