In Nigeria they have confiscated 32 million Naira worth Malaria drugs marked made in India but actually made in china by some unscrupulous characters to malign India or to hurt India China relations.
This is terrible that Chinese manufacturers an export trade super power is doing such a terrible act ,which can not only hurt ordinary citizens of Africa who depend on cheap generic drugs manufactured by Indian companies to USA standards.It is real shame.
Chinese Government is very efficient in finding and punishing violations in health care , when it wants to .We expect that they will find the culprits and make showcase(not death sentence please) trial of them.
It is time that world took fake drug manufacturers to task .Food adultrers,fake drug manufacturers and knowingly unsafe product manufacturers and marketers should be punished and their enterprises confiscated and put out of business. We have no tolerance for this in global economy.
China has shown the world how it can produce large amount of products at reasonable cost under its state capitalism. It has also brought a large population out of extreme poverty.WHich is very comendable and wothy of duplicating.
This exposure is really fortunate for poor people of Africa and I hope this is only an aberration not the norm.
