Violence, economic loss & role playing

Try this experiment if you dare . Just imagine if you will.

Go to a friends house ask for a glass of water. When water comes without malice and anger smash the glass on the ground .If your friend looks at you in amazement and a little perturbed or lot angrier and mad, pay him cost of the glass which may be between one to ten dollars and see the reaction Actually pay ten dollars to make sure you have compensated enough for the financial loss. Now imagine the roles reversed .How would you react to the same situation.

This exercise is to make the point of destruction of property as violence to the soul and disrespect to the divinity. In above mentioned case the smashing of the glass without malice and anger and with compensation left everything off kilter and even when done by a friend in least hurtful manner. Add the elements of disrespect ,anger and brutality and abuse normally part of such destruction( like burning of homes and other violence by mobs )
Add to the scenario you are part of a weak minority without support of the law and order agencies and history of culprits going unpunished .That is a very tragic situation to live in.

Sadly this is happening in Gojra to the Christians and Sikhs in malkand ,Shia ,Ahmadia's and Sufi,s of Pakistan. It has continued without government doing enough to check these trends.

We should all get together against violence .Sadly several years ago these atrocities happened in Shantinagar (peace city). Some times violence only can neutralise violence. It should be tool of state under prudent control to bring justice and peace
.
This type of violence is not limited to Pakistan but it seems to be systematic problem . In India Kashmiri pundits have been unable to live in their ancestor homes for over 20 years after the violence on them . Government has a little better record of protecting Muslims and other minorities than they have for for Kashmirs Pandits.

Protection of innocent is the duty of the government and it is required to perform it.
