Tata had purchased land with help of government to develop a motor manufacturing plant .For various reasons it did not materialise .
Now Tata should not be allowed to hold state hostage and keep this land undeveloped .It is important that state ask that the land be developed .One of the best uses can be an industrial park with all the emenities . Water ,sewer, electric power , high speed internet,rail transportation ,road networks, easy access to sea ports and airports all which make a world class industrial park.
This may be a blessing in disguise as a diverse industrial base along with a large technical and medical school could benefit the region much more than the auto plant could have.One of the development goals should be specialised school for battery manufacturing and research.
Leadership is defined by ability to make best of the oppurtunities presented.As it is famous today A CRISIS IS A TERRIBLE THING TO WASTE.
Time for Mamta and Tata to shine.
