You would not believe that there are places in 2009 on this civilised earth of God the merciful where if do not follow the dictum of powerful men of the community you can be declared KARO Kari and killed by being buried in ground to waist and then stoned to death.Other choice is to be fed to the vicious dogs kept hungry for 8 days.I can not truly imagine such an inhuman death in the name of the merciful God.
Alternate punishment and supposed to be merciful one is to give younger sisters and nieces (as young as 2 )in marriage to these Sardars (Lords of the community)The type of people belonging to the rulers of Pakistan.
Pakistan has such an archaic justice system where men can marry 4 wives legally and more by divorcing any they choose.Other is in matters of killing and other crimes can be civilly resolved sparing the abusers of the system.Weak have no choice as these powerful men control the police and justice system.IT is as bad as the law of the jungle hide ,run away,fight and die.No room for Autonomous human being s God created in his own Image.

Karo-Kari is part of a tradition in Pakistan whereby an individual can kill another individual (can be female or less often male), claiming that murder victim brought dishonour to the family, and still expect to be pardoned by the relatives of the victim. Once such a pardon has been secured, the state has no further writ on the matter.
