Low Level war Chinese way.

A quick survey showes that how China is keeping America and other democracies in check.

1. Showing all the laws and failures of free enterprise and democracy

low level border tension and statements and making Dalai Lama an issue.
Helping Pakistan for nuclear bombs and keeping it boiling.
Developing military relations with all the countries surrounding India.
Helping Iran,North Korea ,Myanmar and other totalitarian nations with nuclear and other agenda to keep simmering tension with USA and its development agenda

3. USA unwilling and unable to reduce trade with China and develop more balanced trade and letting china become largest trading partner of all the allies including India,japan,south Korea ,Australia and soon EU. Only solution for that is balance of trade with China even at the cost of high tariffs if needed.

Buy American and balance of trade.

Most of the consumer goods sold in America are manufactured in China .In China most of the companies are owned by the government and so all the profits go to State and in return giving it more power.I do not know now but not long ago Wal Mart was responsible for 10 percent Chinese exports.

It is about time that it was asked of Walmart to sell more american made products with the American companies standing behind them.They should be asked to report what percentage of the sales are of american products and percentage of products from each of our trading partners.The target should be minimum of 50 percent american made content with in 36 months. If not public should boycott the products and retailers. This policy should be implemented in all the enterprises with sales of more than 500 million dollars.

A fair warning should be given to all trading partners other than raw materials.A balance of trade should be maintained .A Target of no more than 50 Billion annual trade imbalance should be accepted . A two years of grace period should be allocated to adjust while effort are made to bring this trade in balance. Failure to do so we will impose a duty of 10 percent first year and every year after this duty will double till balance of trade position is in compliance.

THIS WOULD PUT ALL of OUR TRADING PARTNERS ON NOTICE.

Tom Friedman has interesting discussion about China.

New York times Columnist Tom Friedman has an interesting discussion about China.He is explaining how many of the bubble problems in china may not be problems at all.In china as they move up the production in higher value goods instead of exporting Jobs and factories they move them to hinterlands of china and move and enlarge the engine of growth.Its large pool of capital in the hands of the communist state which is quite apt at using money and ideas for public good unlike America where is always bottle neck of ideas .In the short run it seams that communist China is eating our school lunch and is bullying all our large enterprises with its state enterprises and we do not know what to do other than hand our lunch to them.Most of our manufacturers have surrendered to china the ability to produce the goods and seems like without a fight.They have understood our economic system and are using it to their advantage and we in our arrogance are unable and unwilling to understand and compete with them in a way which will keep our country with a high standard of living and make changes where we remain masters of our destiny.

This crisis of confidence leave many other nations in the world which have not benefited from the technological and socio-political advances wondering and questioning the free enterprise of west which has not always delivered the goods and services to the needy.Now China is exploiting the resources of the poor nations and depriving them even the meagre wages as they are bringing their own manual workers which they have in plenty in the hinterlands.
China has developed to a level where it will do fine.I hope more freedoms will come to its citizens .It has done many things well it believes like the Marx and i am paraphrasing it that capitalist will sell you the gun and bullets to shoot them with it.Is our system so bankrupt.

How US and INDIA may remain relevent to each other.

It is clear that the saying America's business is business is losing relevance in realty unless our leaders in business and government become serious.

China is becoming fast the largest trading partner for many of our allies and trading partners.With large land mass and number of people in the country it seems natural that they will be able to larger trade with many nations.
Sad part of this equation is that All of china trade has benefited from surplus trade with us.We are still struggling to find a way to balanced trade with China and improved trade with other partners.China's trade with India when you include Hong Kong is 30 percent more than that with the US.Still minuscule in comparison to US China Trade. Which is in range of 500 billion dollars a year, and in deficit at tune of almost 300billion dollars.

For this to happen we will have to buy less from China sell more to it and bring the trade in balance.This balanced trade will give us opportunity to develop trade with other nations and again become largest trading partners with them.Many of the developing nations can benefit from trade with US as we have soft and hard technologies to help them. They need power generation ,waterworks,food technologies and other fields where us is the leader.

US trade with INDIA can be doubled in short time by selling nuclear power technology to India.India is Hungry for electric power .Any nation which provides Power generation capacity to electric starved India Will have a pivotal role in its development.Us can fulfill its mandate and sell this capacity which was the purpose of India US nuclear deal.Trade between the countries can be doubled to 80 billion from current 40 billion in five years.Us can also buy services and development systems from India for Afghanistan and help it reduce the cost of development for the projects in Afghanistan.

China Flexing muscles and trying to bully India.

China has taken a stance to use its military and economic power to challenge and check growth of India in the international as well as in development field.It has become a 800 pound gorilla and want to prove that do not mess with it and do not challenge its domain or it can pounce on any challenger.
China with its state capitalism has benefited from democracy and multi voiced nations like America and India in trade .China has become number one trading partner with both. It is sad that they are showing disregard for America in order to check India . This is a bad battle .In realty china does not want to fight America they just want to check it. Keep low level tension with all the competitors and adversaries .Such a plan undermines human rights and is promoting Han Supremacy in china and abroad. It is very racist in its structures and methods. All the minorities continue to be marginalised in China and become minorities even in their home lands.
They do not understand the nations like USA and India can not control its public opinion like the Chinese communists can.Hence they may agree to a policy for a while but ideas win out and freedom has a better place in dialogue.None of the leaders in democracy can impose their will they have to build consensus and it is in diverse societies very hard.

China has very close relationship with USA and for to raise alarm about closer India USA relationship does not make any sense.India only want to have same level of trade and bilateral relationships as China enjoys with America.Political structures and language makes it easier for Indian people and people of America develop ties .Promotion of democracy is on the American agenda and it is about time that this be rewarded by better trade relations so that other developing nations may follow the lead of democracy .World can not afford to make the Chinese political system as its role model in spite of its economic success.

In my opinion this trade between communist China and west has been aberration.United states helped China with the hope that more trade will open the Chinese system ,make it pluralistic and democratic. So far the results are in the negative.State capitalism of China has helped it to develop at the cost of freedom and democracy loving people of the world.Sadly ,It is being reported that even Russia is thinking of following Chinese communist party model for development and party politic.

Anti Afghan rhetoric is not good for America.

Lately if you have noticed as US is making a higher commitment to Afghanistan there is class Mostly senator Kerry and friends who have started bad mouthing Afghans and their system and abilities.
We have empowered Karzai and supported him .He has won the election for sure with a better margin than George bush or john Kennedy had done.
Instead of giving support to him we are trying to undermine him without any clear agenda or plan.
Mr Kerry was given highest honors by Pakistan on his visit similar to our medal of freedom .He has shown his sympathy to the Pakistani elite by towing their line on international affairs and in particularly in the us senate.

He should know that India can not progress without having enough energy.It is important that nuclear power generation be part of this mix .Realising this and to reward India for its democracy and nuclear non proliferation George Bush made a deal to allow India to develop nuclear power generation and help its large and exploding population become part of progressive developing world.

There are always thousand reasons not to do something and thousand reasons to do it.
At times in life of nations and people opportunities come which can change the course of world.If India is successful in producing enough electricity in next ten
years it will unleash a human potential of great measure in the history of India and The world.For sure it will allow India to have the greatest progress in 300 years thanks to a republican not much liked president with questionable election George W Bush.

It is important that strong relations be developed with India that is what Afghanistan wants.It will make our relations with India,Afghanistan and others in proper perspective.More we empower Pakistan without the intended results(Economic aid badly needed and not provided) more our other allies become Alienated.
India may not be as powerful today as China but with its democracy and multi ethnic multi religious ,multi cultural society.Which resembles more of USA it will progress to great heights.I am betting on them following democracy and freedom to achieve economic success.I think this is the American Way.

India's large power projects will improve air quality.

This discussion in reducing emissions to previous labels of 20 year ago or so are not practical for countries like India who have not used the petroleum or coal to any significant level.

If proper thinking was developed they will not increase hydrocarbon use 50 percent more than they are doing now and then start reducing .They may even get lucky .If India is able to produce electricity using nuclear and other renewable sources.All the gasoline and diesel generators will go idle in India and it will reduce use of oil products and clean the air at the same time.



I have said any body who provides India with electric power can claim the status of demigod . Right now if the government is able to generate enough electricity in next five years George Bush and Hillary Clinton will attain that status.



Obama if he develops the trade with India and proves that Americas religion is democracy and business is business.Create alliances which will help develop nations as good allies and partners in human development can have long term impact on world peace and ending hunger and want.
