In case you hadn’t noticed, the United States is a really weird place. Not that “weird” is always bad. Sometimes “weird” can keep life interesting. But without a doubt, the United States is one of the most unique nations in the history of the world. Some of the weird facts about the United States listed below may be difficult for you to believe. Others are likely to completely shock you. Hopefully there is a little something for everyone in this article, and hopefully you will learn some new things from reading it. I know that I certainly learned some new things as I wrote it. In general, everything tends to be larger in America. The people are larger, the cars are larger, the divorce rate is the highest on the planet and the U.S. government has piled up the largest debt in the history of the world. Whether America does something good or bad, it usually does it in a very “big” way. It is easy to love the United States and all the good that it has done, but it is also easy to be horrified by how far this nation has fallen and by the direction that this country is currently headed. So where does America go from here? That is a very good question.
The following are 40 weird facts about the United States that are almost too crazy to believe….
#1 The highest point in the state of Florida is only 345 feet (115 yards) above sea level.
#2 Today, 66 percent of all Americans are considered to be overweight.

She would be nice friend to have .I tried to move the conversation towards sexual topics she was able to manipulate the conversation well. her spelling and language was very good.
she even gave me a e-mail address what i could write her I am a 61 one year old mail .Not nice to shatter good thoughts of a young person.I asked her what she admired about america her answer was very charming "freedom".

Unique observation from the data of Electrol Roll in Tamil Nadu
Very interesting data. I just noticed the unique demographics of the electoral roll of the Tamil Nadu state in south.
Total electorate 45.9 million .
men 23.0 million .
women 22.8..Million.
Transgender 844.
I have seen some very interesting data at different times but have never seen the count for transgender separately listed . I wonder where is the count of transgender in USA.

Trade as tool for India.
USA is the nation with largest amount of GDP and largest trade in the world.It is USA which has given opportunity to China in spite of its State Capitalism and internal communism without equal rights for all.No religious and freedom of thought. America has thought that more trade will make China more free and responsive to world opinion and more democratic.
With the help of American enterprises China has the largest trade with USA .This trade is in favor of China .Where it is running about 300 billion dollars in Favor of China.China has done well with this trade surplus and has built trade with EU and other American allies and have become largest trading nation with India,Taiwan,Korea and others.
This is good politics for China .In case of India where China is providing lot of manufactured goods it is counter productive for a cheap labor country to buy all the manufactured low value products.One of the reason is that the raw material cost as well as power and other infrastructure costs have handicapped Indian small businesses. Even the Gods are being imported from China made by atheist Chinese Han.The items not officially imported from China are being smuggled in through Nepal,Burma,Bangladesh.
If India wants to be a relevant economic player and want to develop Double GDP in five years it will have to do more trade with USA and other developed nations.In the process the developed nations with their capital can develop India's Infrastructure and education for all where per capita education and income could be raised and may give the benefit of Young and Vibrant India to the all of the aging developed world.
This a short window May be 5 to ten years where India can make the progress and help the world to improve health,education and standard of Living.In this, India with a large number English speaking people has an advantage of ten years against China.In India they can not be lazy because China has Hong Kong and Taiwan which are very developed Communities and are part of the Chinese Sphere of Influence India lacks any such developed relationship.
Our Relationship in the Indian Diaspora in USA,Canada, England,Australia and south Africa can and should be used for development .Such opportunities do not come often and we should not miss them.
It should be made clear to all democratic nations that we want technology transfer in Parity with China a communist country where it is illegal to Teach child Religion of parents till they are 18 years of age.They are raising godless children for over 50 years.In today's China it is feared to be first generation who were godless not by choice after search but by birth where all the training is denial of God as a public Policy.It is a nation where ancient languages and cultures are dying.

A view on Trade and China,US and Pakistan
Ram Ji Just a view :
China with its trade with west and transfer of technology and manufacturing has become a powerful nation and is able to leverage it in many fields including military power and power projection.
USA,India and Eu can not continue this imbalance in trade in favor of China.This trade will have to be substantially balanced .West with its high labor cost and living standard will have to develop alternate ways to balance this trade .In the process standard of living in west will stagnate and in India and china and other poorer nations it will get better still below the western standard but much better than the historical levels.
This gives a great opportunity to India.India needs to develop infrastructure and need to make products and provide services.With its english proficient population it has advantage for another ten years over others.It needs to tripple trade with US And EU in five years by buying technology and systems and slowly become a provider of low wage labor,services .If we miss the opportunity and are seduced by marginally cheaper goods from China mostly smuggled through Bangladesh,and Nepal.India needs to make sure that no goods are imported from China without Duty so that our economic system is not compromised by this method.
Develop trade with so we may remain relevant USA.It is said America's business is business That means unless we become at least number five or so trader with USA and EU , we will remain irrelevant to the political classes of the west.
Development of soft power with the thinkers of America is another place where we could do better.If you read the book Charlie Wilsons war one becomes aware how he was able to manipulate american system in Pakistans's favor.We should minimally learn how not to become victims of another Charlie Wilson.At times it seems that senator Kerry is acting as new Charlie Wilson.
Senator Kerry is the only american given Highest civilian honors of Pakistani Government.Pakistani Foreign Ministers son works as intern in his office.You guess the relationship and how he had been a supporter of Pakistani Machine while it has killed Ahmadi's, Shia,Sufi civilians.Supported Taliban leadership with training and resources,Have been supporter of anti India Jihadis and terrorists.

Who did Michele Obama See at dinner at Mr Singhs residence.Here i am using the term as prime ministers official residence is not really his house in the typical sense as the house has some sense of permanence at least in India.People have owned same piece of Terra at times for centuries and like Texas at times they have changed the rulers of the land yet the occupants have remained the same.
Michelle Obama"s paternal great great grand father Mr Jim Robinson was a slave in south Carolina.Her maternal great-great-great grandmother, Melvinia Shields, also a slave, became pregnant by a white man. His name and the nature of their union have been lost.
Her husband and father of her children is 44th president of USA.Bi racial son of a white mid western white American mother and anti colonialist Muslim father who was born in Kenya and studied in America.His mother married his step dad who was from Indonesia and lived four years in Indonesia.
This couple is on the height of achievement and can be hero's to any young and old.Them representing USA in India is itself a great success story of human achievement.
In US administration their are many very capable women and now it seems in India also their are woman who are there because of their merit and leadership and chutzpah.
India's ambassador to United states is a woman.Foreign secretary(administrative post from the cadre) is woman.India's president a woman Elected by elected leaders. Speaker of the house(Lok Sabha) is woman and Dalit.Opposition leader is woman.Leader of the ruling party is woman of Italian parentage who was once married to prime minister of India.India's railway minister (largest portfolio) is very powerful woman.we have women chief ministers and other power brokers.
In medical schools half the graduates are women.
India's prime Minister was born in British India in a village now in Pakistan which he had to leave at partition and is Sikh.People of his ancestral village relish connection to him even when now they are on the other side of the border.
India's defense minister is Anthony an christian and vice president a Muslim Mr Ansari.One of the leaders they met was elected Chief Minister of Kashmir Son of British woman and married to Hindu from the Muslim majority state of Kashmir.
The person in charge of unique Identification project is an entrepreneur Nandakani who built a large international company before under taking this project for the government.They said it could not be done .So far it seems to be moving along well.It is meeting all the benchmarks so far and it appears that they will deliver in 2014 as promised. These were boys from middle class who feel that they should contribute to India.Again i wonder where is the spirit for service .Oh it is alive in america as well. Nobel laureates serve in Obama administration.Bill gates and other enhance our prestige in the world when American government seems not to be able to deliver much.
Mr Obama is among the few world leaders who can be very comfortable in multi ethnic multi religious India,by shear experiences of his birth and childhood and nationality.

In defense of BP.
It is very fashionable to beat up on BP.Devil of the day .Everybody seems to be wanting to get their punches in.
Many of the commercial and industrial enterprises are risky.Life itself is fatal. The harm done by the BP gulf spill makes us wonder how safe are our other enterprises. Risk in finding ,extracting ,producing and distributing power is a risky venture.More than thirty thousand Americans die in road accidents , yet we drive more than 100 million cars on the road. We all have evaluated that risk of dying outways the benefits of mobility.Tens of our fellow citizens die in America in coal mines many other get sick and die in finding and extracting other energy sources in the country.
We are alwaays making cost benefit analysis of our risks.Insurance underwriters are always assessing our risks and are willing to insure us against the health ,property and casuality risks for a price.Now since 9/11 most undrwriters have exclusions for terrorism and acts of god risk.
Highly risky enterprises are insured by government as flood insurances in flood zones.Import export bank self insures against default and losses. Medicaid and medicare take care of catastrofic sickness by public insurances.
Insurance companies not only pays in case of losses.It also improves the situation so losses are reduced.Car insurance companies have helped us reduce the cost of insurance as weel make our product safer.Underwriters labs and other institutions play similar role. FM global an insurance company based in Rhode Island has thousands of engineers who help their clients reduce losses by improving processes and procedures for many industries.
What role the insurance industry is playing in mitigating losses from deep water drilling.If this type of job is too big to be done by a private company.I would suggest that a public engineering institution or several be formed to do this work and resources be deployed world wide at the hub of production centers so that losses may be reduced and dammage controlled.
To Start with as the words largest producer and even larger user of energy products we should have a tax to be paid on the basis of crude prices for the value of our natural resources.Most of the oil and other energy producing nations get the benefit of revenue as price of energy goes up(in terms of royalty).In America we subsidise the oil industry by not charging enough for the mineral rights .So even when price of oil goes up as a oil producer who uses extra oil we do not get any benefits of all the production .All the benefits go to oil companies and oil producing countries except USA.This anamoly should be fixed so in case of higher energy prices we do not have the double whammy.

Many of the commercial and industrial enterprises are risky.Life itself is fatal. The harm done by the BP gulf spill makes us wonder how safe are our other enterprises. Risk in finding ,extracting ,producing and distributing power is a risky venture.More than thirty thousand Americans die in road accidents , yet we drive more than 100 million cars on the road. We all have evaluated that risk of dying outways the benefits of mobility.Tens of our fellow citizens die in America in coal mines many other get sick and die in finding and extracting other energy sources in the country.
We are alwaays making cost benefit analysis of our risks.Insurance underwriters are always assessing our risks and are willing to insure us against the health ,property and casuality risks for a price.Now since 9/11 most undrwriters have exclusions for terrorism and acts of god risk.
Highly risky enterprises are insured by government as flood insurances in flood zones.Import export bank self insures against default and losses. Medicaid and medicare take care of catastrofic sickness by public insurances.
Insurance companies not only pays in case of losses.It also improves the situation so losses are reduced.Car insurance companies have helped us reduce the cost of insurance as weel make our product safer.Underwriters labs and other institutions play similar role. FM global an insurance company based in Rhode Island has thousands of engineers who help their clients reduce losses by improving processes and procedures for many industries.
What role the insurance industry is playing in mitigating losses from deep water drilling.If this type of job is too big to be done by a private company.I would suggest that a public engineering institution or several be formed to do this work and resources be deployed world wide at the hub of production centers so that losses may be reduced and dammage controlled.
To Start with as the words largest producer and even larger user of energy products we should have a tax to be paid on the basis of crude prices for the value of our natural resources.Most of the oil and other energy producing nations get the benefit of revenue as price of energy goes up(in terms of royalty).In America we subsidise the oil industry by not charging enough for the mineral rights .So even when price of oil goes up as a oil producer who uses extra oil we do not get any benefits of all the production .All the benefits go to oil companies and oil producing countries except USA.This anamoly should be fixed so in case of higher energy prices we do not have the double whammy.

Something about death penalty.
China had the largest of number of people put to death.It has said that lower number of people were given death sentences in China,most of us do not believe it.And why would they not give public accounting for death sentences.Something is sinister about the secret trials and the secret executions.Are he Chinese still harvesting human organs from the executed people.Is it just another form of mercantile China harvesting all its resources.May be nothing is verboten to the Communist Chinese thinking.Are we roving Karl Marx right that the capitalist will sell he rope and noose to hang him with it.Our trade with China more and more proves that point.
US had 54 executions.24in Texas alone.New Mexico is the the newest state to ban the executions for the delight of most.India,Pakistan and Indonesia had no executions. In case of Pakistan,summary executions in police custody are a common practice,sadly some people have been killed under Blasphemy laws even in jails and no body has been punished.Lack of order and civil society protections make it a lesser achievement than it would have been.
In case of Bangladesh their inability to execute was thought to be weakness of the

National debt and GDP and tax free interest savings.
National Debt and GDP has been in the news lately as US Fiscal debt has be become an issue for politics in USA.Last eight years the federal deficit has mushroomed from a surplus of 250 billion to 2008 deficit of over a trillion( thousand billion dollars).Mr Obama's latest budget has deficit pegged at 1.3 trillion dollars and being all the expenses on budget is a realistic figure.
If the president was able to wind down the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan we could reduce the defense budget by 10 percent.with economy growing at normal pace by ending the recession we could pare down that deficit by third without taking much of the draconian measures for it.As the savings rate in us grows to ten percent ( encouraged by tax free interest on saving accounts).I can see that the foreign ownership of national debt can be reduced from current 20 percent to 5 percent in no time.This will protect the us capital being wiped out and reward the savers in America.New culture has to start where Americans can save and build wealth rather than buy gadgetry built in far places just fulfil the gaps in souls with material things.
Japan has run the national debt at 170 percent of the GDP .She has the highest per capita income in the world.Interesting thing about this debt is that it is owned by the people of Japan so you do not hear much about it as no other nation seems to have a leverage because of it.Japanese system has enough strength and rumor mills are not very active and are not encouraged to scare the public.People are more secure as the system adequately provides for needs of young and old alike.No body is left out.
In USA system does not protect the poor and young enough they are at least not sure and leaves them uncertain.Inadequacies in health care delivery has left majority of people paranoid and jittery.By providing health care for all and tax free interest saving up to 5000 dollars will have the desired effect of increase in savings and peace of mind for the public.Us debt to GDP ratio is around 60 percent.
India is running the budget deficit of 60 percent of GDP .90 percent of This is carried by Indians and 10 percent by world bank.India's foreign investments and the foreign investments in India are about the same magnitude.This is good for the global trade.
China runs much smaller budget deficit.It shows its strength .China with lack of private ownership , and with the state leasing all land for 60 years have a revenue stream which will have to be renewed with passing of every adult( considering adult life is 60 years).

America with double of Japanese unemployment and poverty rate of between 13 to seventeen percent seems to sleep through its crisis.Nation lacks a national agenda to solve its problems.

That will end the borrowing of the money from Chinese.It can also be stirred by making $10000 income from Govt saving bonds interest per year at flat tax of ten

China's Bullying of Cambodia and trial of Liu Xiaobo charter 08 author.
China is bullying where ever it can and world goes along.This can not go on for ever without restricting human rights and freedoms we have won in last fifty or so years.
At times even America is giving Lip service to the victims.Mr Obama chose not to meet Dalai Lama before his first visit to China to appease the Chinese dictators.—

How US and INDIA may remain relevent to each other.
It is clear that the saying America's business is business is losing relevance in realty unless our leaders in business and government become serious.
China is becoming fast the largest trading partner for many of our allies and trading partners.With large land mass and number of people in the country it seems natural that they will be able to larger trade with many nations.
Sad part of this equation is that All of china trade has benefited from surplus trade with us.We are still struggling to find a way to balanced trade with China and improved trade with other partners.China's trade with India when you include Hong Kong is 30 percent more than that with the US.Still minuscule in comparison to US China Trade. Which is in range of 500 billion dollars a year, and in deficit at tune of almost 300billion dollars.
For this to happen we will have to buy less from China sell more to it and bring the trade in balance.This balanced trade will give us opportunity to develop trade with other nations and again become largest trading partners with them.Many of the developing nations can benefit from trade with US as we have soft and hard technologies to help them. They need power generation ,waterworks,food technologies and other fields where us is the leader.
US trade with INDIA can be doubled in short time by selling nuclear power technology to India.India is Hungry for electric power .Any nation which provides Power generation capacity to electric starved India Will have a pivotal role in its development.Us can fulfill its mandate and sell this capacity which was the purpose of India US nuclear deal.Trade between the countries can be doubled to 80 billion from current 40 billion in five years.Us can also buy services and development systems from India for Afghanistan and help it reduce the cost of development for the projects in Afghanistan.

Kuldip Nayar suports my view on Kashmir.
I have mentioned in one of my previous blogs that Kashmir should be made into three independent administered units. This view has been held by me for at least 15 years and have discussed it with who ever may listen including several MP's and diplomats with no takers.
This is the first time i am finding that a reputed opinion maker and thinker is developing views on similar lines .The condition of Kashmir's Pundits is a matter of shame for secular India and the state administration of Jammu and Kashmir.It is about time that more local government solutions and empowerment be developed in the process .
While i am at it i would like to suggest that no states in India should have population of more than eight percent of the country.Size matters and many times too big may be more of a hindrance than help.

China Flexing muscles and trying to bully India.
China has taken a stance to use its military and economic power to challenge and check growth of India in the international as well as in development field.It has become a 800 pound gorilla and want to prove that do not mess with it and do not challenge its domain or it can pounce on any challenger.
China with its state capitalism has benefited from democracy and multi voiced nations like America and India in trade .China has become number one trading partner with both. It is sad that they are showing disregard for America in order to check India . This is a bad battle .In realty china does not want to fight America they just want to check it. Keep low level tension with all the competitors and adversaries .Such a plan undermines human rights and is promoting Han Supremacy in china and abroad. It is very racist in its structures and methods. All the minorities continue to be marginalised in China and become minorities even in their home lands.
They do not understand the nations like USA and India can not control its public opinion like the Chinese communists can.Hence they may agree to a policy for a while but ideas win out and freedom has a better place in dialogue.None of the leaders in democracy can impose their will they have to build consensus and it is in diverse societies very hard.
China has very close relationship with USA and for to raise alarm about closer India USA relationship does not make any sense.India only want to have same level of trade and bilateral relationships as China enjoys with America.Political structures and language makes it easier for Indian people and people of America develop ties .Promotion of democracy is on the American agenda and it is about time that this be rewarded by better trade relations so that other developing nations may follow the lead of democracy .World can not afford to make the Chinese political system as its role model in spite of its economic success.

Afghanistan Development , India ,Pakistan and USA
India has played a positive role in development of Afghanistan.I am not talking about militarily. In terms of delivery of services, role of India has been nothing less than highly commendable.On the other hand Pakistan has hindered the developments by prohibiting shipment of goods and services badly needed for the development projects.While America struggles with very long and troublesome route from Karachi to Kabul via Khyber Pass, which is filled with terrorist and lackeys of ISI and other Taliban sympathizers who hijack and hinder this most needed service.
America has opened a northern route which has its own problems as cooperation and help of Russia is needed for that .Russia is more help at this time as they feel it is in their interest as they do not want Taliban and Qaeda in their neighborhood.
Afghanistan need all the routes to trade with its neighbors.
Pakistan is missing this opportunity by Focusing on anti India rhetoric and planning only in military terms.In the process It has hurt its people and relations with neighbors .China by supplying nuclear technology and many weapons has given confidence to Pakistani Military and political leadership to become obstinate at the negative effect on its people. American financial support allowed Pakistan to pursue this course at great disadvantage to its citizens.
Pakistan and India has much more in common than just borders.They have thousands of years of history,language,culture and tradition to remove any disagreements they might have.America should have clear cut development strategy to help Pakistan India business and trade to develop so that We can be success in Afghanistan.
India's contribution to Afghanistan development in recent years.
India developed and built a road connecting southern Afghanistan to Iranian Border giving an additional route for Afghan nation to connect with the world.This route is a shorter and with lessor trouble than Karachi route for Afghanistan to trade.On the Iranian side they railways directly to the border with Afghanistan.Now the only ground route to India via Lahore Pakistan is the only economical route not being exploited for development.Let us not forget that Afghan and India are only few hundred mile by Air. Pakistan should not be allowed to veto this trade route particularly when we are funding its survival and they thumb their noses at us and treat us as some sort of Panzies.
India is getting respect in Afganistan for its building of schools,hospitals roads and now the latest part had been building of Power transmission line from northern border.India had provided education and health care to many Afghan citizens while Pakistan has only played havock with their lives by supporting terrorists.
It is very important that civil society of Pakistan be helped by our people on the ground so that our resources do not help our enemies to make us look bad.Economic conditions and the life of women ,children,families can be improved by improved relations with India,Afganistan,Iran and others.
America can not be provider of all services .It can only be catalyst for development.Very important catalyst in deed.

Pakistan should not be allowed to veto this trade route particularly when we are funding its survival and they thumb their noses at us and treat us as some sort of Panzies.
India is getting respect in Afganistan for its building of schools,hospitals roads and now the latest part had been building of Power transmission line from northern border.India had provided education and health care to many Afghan citizens while Pakistan has only played havock with their lives by supporting terrorists.
It is very important that civil society of Pakistan be helped by our people on the ground so that our resources do not help our enemies to make us look bad.Economic conditions and the life of women ,children,families can be improved by improved relations with India,Afganistan,Iran and others.
America can not be provider of all services .It can only be catalyst for development.Very important catalyst in deed.

In defense of USA( note to a friend)

Having lived and studied the America and its systems.One has to admire its constitution.Free and universal education till grade 12.By the way average expenses of this education is ten thousand dollars per year.Education and laws to protect and give opportunities to handy capped people.
System which takes care of its problems.While Khaddafi and Fidel are still in power America has had 10 president in the meantime.Wisdom of its systems makes up for individual drawbacks while even Russia finds it tough to retire Putin.
World has many things to learn from older societies but America the experiment in democracy is a wonderful experiment still being explored.Newer democracies can learn from this experiment without doing all the mistakes.Two things come to mind Forming a upper house on similar basis as senate in US.Restricting candidates to represent their residency with local residency requirement.This will eliminate some people running from more than one constituency.
The US constitution prohibits government to make any laws regrading religion.US government has no power to ban a book.When you read that a book was banned somewhere in America.It is individual library chose to ban it it without any real effect.
Many times we have not treated our own citizens fairly but all those faults still leaves me hopeful.Finally it is truly an international nation.
According to Tocqueville In 1835 USA and Russia were similar countries and it is the freedoms of America and character of its people(Not race) is responsible for making a breed of autonomous people.
